Welcome to the Team
Victoria Murphy – Human Resources Generalist
Victoria joined our group as a Human Resources Generalist in November 2021. As she settles into her new role, over time she will transition into the main point of contact for our team members and department managers. Victoria will oversee matters related to recruitment and onboarding, group benefits and programs, and other operational day to day HR matters. Outside of work Victoria enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and going to karaoke when she has the opportunity.
Doran Junod – Destination Toyota Burnaby, Bodyshop Manager
It was the spring of 1986, ‘Your Love” by the Outfield was playing on the radio. Expo’86 was getting fired up and the Skytrain was all the rage in Vancouver. Young Doran Junod decided to leave his lot duties at Bill Docksteader and join what would become Destination Toyota.
35 years of exemplary service later – Doran has decided he is ready for his next adventure and will be retiring from our dealership. Doran has always treated everyone with respect and generously shared his wisdom and guidance. He will undoubtedly be admired for his patience, resilience, ethics, work effort, but most of all his can-do attitude.
We wish him all the best as he sets sail into retirement and may he catch all the fish that his heart desires!
Dave Seaman – Destination Honda Burnaby, Assistant Parts Manager
Can you remember what you were doing or where you were in December 1983? The cold war was in full swing with the U.S.S.R and America; both testing nuclear weapons that month. Michael Jackson’s video for Thriller aired on MTV for the first time. The 9th space shuttle mission, Columbia 6, successfully lands at Edwards air force base. Wayne Gretzky scored his 800th point in 352 NHL games and on Hastings Street in North Burnaby, BC’s own homegrown talent, Dave Seaman, was busily flipping through the pages of his Honda paper-backed, parts catalogue looking for Civic oil filters!
Dave may not have known it at the time, but fast forward 13,952 days and that Parts Counter job has turned into a successful career! Over the years, the building, technology and even the people changed, but what has always remained constant was the love and support of Dave’s family and his unrelenting drive to help his team succeed. Thanks Coach!
After 38 years Dave has decided on February 28th, 2022 that the time has come to begin writing the next chapter of his life, in retirement. For those of you lucky enough to have shared a moment or two with Dave, you know his storytelling skills are unparalleled. Dave, we are all enthusiastically looking forward to hearing about your next adventure. Thank-you. You will be missed!
